Mom Entrepreneur of the Month Donna Marino |
 Donna Marino is a master of fashion merchandising, event coordination, PTA meetings and dressing children nationwide in adorable bedtime attire. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Donna spent sixteen years in the formal wear industry. She then traded in her chiffon laced passion for diapers and baby wipes. The pressures of commuting, meeting tight deadlines and traveling soon shifted to stroller rides and story times as a full-time stay at home mom. But that didn’t last for long. Donna eventually was ready for the challenge of combining family with business and decided to launch her own clothing company with husband, Scott Marino. Together they created a new apparel company, Panda Apparel LLC, named after their two children Peter 6 and Angela 3, which launched with the opening of two sites, LittleJammies.com and TieDyeMania.com. For Donna, spearheading the LittleJammies.com site was the perfect combination of her love for fashion & her love for her children by providing high quality adorable clothes for kids. LittleJammies.com carries a full line of age- appropriate licensed-character and designer sleepwear, underwear and accessories in sizes for babies, toddlers, young children and tweens. There are favorites like DC comic heroes Superman and Batman —many sets with capes —as well as the Disney Princesses—complete with wand & slippers. From Sesame Street to iCarly, LittleJammies.com makes tucking in the kids at night a dream. Clearly this mom entrepreneur got the recipe correct, since the success of the first sites; this Cranford mom has launched several others including JustNeonTees.com, ZeroGravitee.com, and OrganicFiberApparel.com. All sites provide high quality apparel while enforcing environmental conscious practices in their production. Donna is thrilled to be able to continue to follow her fashion merchandising dream through buying trips to NYC, marketing the business, and keeping tabs of the ever expanding inventory selections while making it home in time for homework, ballet and gymnastics.
